"Ishaqzaade" starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. Ishaqzaade is Arjun Kapoor's debut, second film for Habib Faisal as a director after "Do Dooni Chaar" and Parineeti Chopra's second after "Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl".

Although its Arjun's debut film as a actor but he is not a new in bollywood. He co-produced blockbuster films like No Entry (2005) and Wanted (2009). He also assistant director many films like Milenge Milenge (2010), Shakti: The Power (2002), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Salaam-E-Ishq (2007).

Director Habib Faisal chose a unique script and wonderful location to base his plot upon. As Ishaqzaade was shot in Uttar Pradesh, it was easier to give an authentic feel. There is a natural rustic flavour in the way the story is handled and that is the USP of Ishaqzaade.


Ishaqzaade is a story about passionate love between two different and yet alike two rebellious individuals. Both Parma (Arjun Kapoor) and Zoya (Parineeti Chopra) have been taught since their childhood to hate each other as there is a cold war between both political families. 


Though the story begins with both youngsters ready to kill each other,but it happens and they fall in love. Dialogue "Loo.. Lag Gaye Law & Order Kiii" shows off the madness which starts off as the movie begins.

Talking about performances both Arjun and Parineeti are brilliant, especially Parineeti Chopra is outstanding. Parineeti Looks fit in the role and she is full of energy. She have the ingredient to become the number one in list of Bollywood actress. She does complete justice to her role with put in passion and emotion (delightful to watch her on screen).




Arjun is also fantastic, his body language put on justice with this role but lack behind due to his accent. Gauhar Khan is good and dances very well and she also get a part to act in the movie. Film story is full of unexpected twists and Habib Faisal has managed to extract the best performance from all other actors as well.



The rawness and rustic charm of North India has been captured brilliantly by cinematographer Hemant Chaturvedi. Background score by Ranjit Barot is awesome. Amit Trivedi's music is very soothing to the ears. 'Pareshan', 'Ishaqzaade', 'Chokra Jawan' and 'Aafton Ke Parinde' are very melodious songs and go with the movie very well placed.

Movie Ratings : 3.5 stars OUT of 5.  



Why should you watch it: Good combination of Love-Romance-Action and both Parineeti - Arjun are delightful to watch haveing good chemistry on screen. In short a good movie and worth a watch.

Although the film has received mixed reviews from other critics and audience, but BOLLYWOOD celebrities are all praises for the director as well as the lead pair.
